Edgecore Expands its Wi-Fi 6 Portfolio with the EAP104 for Hotels/MDUs/MSPs and More

Ensure Reliable In-Room Connectivity with a Sleek Wall-Plate AP

Edgecore Networks, a leading provider of traditional and open network solutions for enterprises, data centers, and telecommunication service providers, announced the latest addition to its Wi-Fi 6 access point portfolio, the EAP104, a dual-band 2x2:2 wall-plate access point that guarantees reliable, secure, and high-performance in-room connectivity.

Users now have a new option for Wi-Fi network solutions for hotels, MDU, and schools etc. The EAP104 comes with all it needs for a flexible, scalable, yet stable network solution. Edgecore provides international tier-1-brand hardware quality, and a cloud management platform, ecCLOUD, for large-scale business operations with a continuously growing value-added application service ecosystem. The continued increase in on-demand add-ons for ecCLOUD allows users to buy what they need and create their network with a lighter burden and greater freedom. The EAP104 combines wireless and wired access in a single compact device.

The EAP104 provides a versatile, built-in 4-port Gigabit switch that enables the access point to act as a unified point of access for both wireless and wired devices – IP-based systems such as VoIP phones and IPTV can be directly connected without adding external switches. On top of that, the EAP104 incorporates Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), and ZigBee, enabling hotel, apartment, dormitory, multi-dwelling unit (MDU), and operators to deploy a single, converged network infrastructure that supports Wi-Fi-enabled devices and IoT endpoints.
